Get to Know Pastor Dr. David Okugmba: A Man Serving God’s Purpose

Pastor Dr. David Okugmba is the man behind A Handbook of Self Deliverance, a book set to bring hope to all those lost in suffering and demonic oppression. He first received his calling to the ministry in 1976 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, which was clear and direct. God spoke to Pastor David and demanded him to serve His purpose and life for Him as a minister for the Gospel. Excited and exhilarated, Pastor David pursued His calling wholeheartedly. He is accredited with many accolades, including revelations and blessings that have helped free many of his family and friends of oppression and guided them to the Lord. But the feat he is most proud of is his decision to leave for the United States alongside his family as Missionaries in 2000. Dr. Okumgba has shown signs of brilliance since his youth. He graduated as one of the best in his class. Although, he emphasizes to his readers that mere talent isn’t enough and that an individual needs relationship, mentors, and, most importantly, God in their life.

He became a deliverance minister by going through deliverance himself. He initially didn’t believe he could be demonized until he eventually began noticing some symptoms of demonic activity. This was through negative patterns, inherited afflictions, and near-success syndrome. Upon his investigations, Pastor realized that several ancestral covenants influenced his life and dictated his destiny. Upon several prayers and fasting programs, he was taught by the Lord how to be free.

He continues to serve God’s purpose diligently with more books, testimonies, conferences, outreaches, and crusades in the future. He wishes to give the gift of deliverance to all who read his work.
