Operation and oppression
Demons have sought to tarnish God’s work in us since the inception of humanity. Since God created man in His image, Satan has tried to infest and taint humans’ souls. Our battle against these demonic entities is a long and grueling one and has continued unabated for centuries. Waging spiritual warfare, we must know our enemies and how they operate before anything else.
Curses
Curses are one of the most common ways demons gain access to your spirit. It is an invocation, a want to harm a person, a group, a family, a generation, a tribe, a nation, people, or a continent. You may call it the complete opposite of a “blessing.” If an individual curses their neighbor with failure, they have manifested the spirit of defeat.
Demons operate on vulnerable Christians who live carelessly and carnally. These curses often sow the seed, branching into generations upon generations. This is one of the most common ways curses operate. Tristan is evident through patterns of afflictions or situations from one generation to another. They may appear in the form of sicknesses such as asthma, cancer, blood conditions, diabetes, etc. Other examples may range from barrenness, rising and falling, failing at the brink of success, repeated miscarriages, and other forms of calamity.
“Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil, you shall eat of it All the days of your life. 18 Both thorns and thistles it shall [b]bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field.”

Covenants
Covenants are one of the most potent types of agreements one can make. They are made consciously or unconsciously by two or more parties backed by a blood sacrifice in the name of a higher being. God operates by covenants to get legal access to the lives of His believers.
With his shrewd desires, the devil tries to copy this methodology. By obeying the devil’s commands, Adam bonded himself into a covenant with him — one that would carry on from generation to generation. It relinquished his title to the earth. That one covenant gave the devil access to the life of man. Even though Christ abolished this covenant on the cross of Calvary, the aftermath of Adam’s mistake is felt in every believer inheriting his ancestry. When individuals knowingly or unknowingly fall into occult associations, they bind themselves and their forbearing generations into calamities that stem from these covenants.
This is why many of us have been born with strange spirits and covenants without our free will. Many people seek deliverance through occult practices by visiting shrines and witch doctors to rid them of a generational disease. Ironically, instead of benefiting, they only bind themselves into new knots that introduce spirits of death, poverty, miscarriage, and barrenness onto their generations.

Now that we understand the operations by which the devil seeks access to our lives, the question arises, “How do we rid obtain deliverance?” The answer is quite simple. Prayer.
